Clearly I have not used photobucket in a long time and they have clearly changed the terms of conditions.
Bottom line. This page looks kinda silly... I'll fix that some day... not today though since I'm sleepy. hahaha

| The Hilton Twins |
[Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008 @ 9:18pm] |

This is a piece about the Hilton Twins, Violet and Daisy. Their bones are fused at the pelvis, but they shared no major organs. It is said that one of them was a heavy drinker while the other one was a light weight. These two were one of the most popular and well paid freaks of their time.

I love etching! Here are some pictures of my etched prints. I'm considering selling them.

Soy Cow etches! The old dinner conversation creature continues! (I made a plush version of him last year) I made lots of envelopes prints with him. This right here uses fine art paper.
Snow White- Mother version (I made a series of this and experimented with colors and techniques) Etch, a million aquatints, two million burnishes, and water color print I spent the longest time working on this piece.
Here is the back story for the piece: Snow White starts off with a beautiful woman pricking her finger and watching the blood drip from her fingers symbolizing the start of her womanhood and end of her innocence. Mother in this piece is depicted as a simple figure that tries very hard to retain her beauty. Snow White easily surpasses her beauty at an early age as the mirror tells us. This is when Snow is forced out of her home to live in the forest. She lives well and enjoys her freedom in the woods. She meets Mother in disguise and is fooled by a beautiful poisoned comb. Years pass and Snow White is now a young, blossoming adult that cares very much about her appearance. She sees a peddler selling corset lace and is once again tricked by her mother. The next time we see Snow White, she no longer cares about how she looks and takes up the housekeeping duties. We don't see mother in this scene because she is not physically attacking her like the other times. Snow White isn't as gullible as before and Mother uses more cunning to poison the girl; half the apple is safe and the other half is poisoned. When Snow sees it's alright to eat the apple, she takes a bite of it herself.

| Holiday Wishlist 2007! |
[Friday, November 23rd, 2007 @ 10:20pm] |
I'm ready for my second round of wishlist granting. i had so much fun giving and receiving gifts last year. haha, my list this year is almost the same as last :D
my list in no particular order
- Something DIY: I love DIY plushies, pins, clothing, jewelery, hats, scarves, toys, bags, etc. I usually make my friends and family DIY gifts and it's fun getting some back in return.
- uh... Haunted Circus... stuff. Sorry, let me explain. I have this odd love for creepy, beautiful circus music. This has evolved to loving circus related books, merry-go-rounds, freaks, performance animals, and "razzle-dazzle" clothing and makeup. It's a weird hobby, but I was surprised and immensely pleased to find new music and book recommendations last year. I would defiantly love some more.
- Something fairy tales related. I love the old gory stories, the "modern/contemporary" fairy tales, and Disney. I'm always searching for more fairy tale movies and books with a twist.
- Cute stationary, stickers, and related items. I like pen palling and decorating my letters. Although I must admit, I have really love "kawaii" type stationary stickers and stationary (I also use them to make magnets, bookmarks, and modge podge them to random things)
- Magic yarn balls. HOLY COW THESE THINGS ARE SOOOO MUCH FUN TO MAKE AND RECEIVE! They are basically a huge ball of yarn that has goodies all wrapped up inside of them. Here's a link of pictures to illustrate what I mean http://www.flickr.com/groups/magicyarnball/pool/
- Support your local restaurants and shops. Franchises are rolling in money right now and that annoys me. Franchises really hurt small businesses (and sometimes on purpose >_< ) .... and restaurants always takes a nosedive during this holiday. This touches close to home because my family runs a small little restaurant and I've worked in other restaurants during the holiday. I'm not saying boycott franchises completly (though you'd be way up high on my hard core cool list) because you can buy things for cheap from them...(sigh, i'm guilty too) but please take your time to visit local and family run places.
- Foreign Music! I love music. Especially music in different languages (and ska... i really like ska). I'm very open to all generas... except country. I'm more of a rock, punk, ska girl (and musicals.. ahaha, foreign musicals would be a lot of fun) and I think foreign pop is more fun than American ones... even if it's also in English and I have no idea why.
- Movies! My friends are having a couple themed movie marathons and I have very few movies to offer. The marathons we're going to have are: Johnny Depp (aka Mr. Depp Marathon), Disney, and Cult Classics.
- Nightmare Before Christmas stuff. My friends say it's an obsession... and I feel like they might be right XD
- Cute Mail/Packages for my roommates! I like to do swaps so I get a lot of mail. They want cute packages from people too! So I would really love to see them get something in the mail too.
and here is the link to my wishlist on the site http://community.livejournal.com/holiday_wishes/1099329.html?view=15397185#t15397185

This Threadless t-shirt is making me laugh really hard (it's all in the comments) Fairy tale swap #2 I participated in the first one... i don't think i can do the second one since i'm leaving this Saturday, but this was fun so I might as well plug it. I finished all my other swaps though! :D

| Fat NINJA and friends |
[Thursday, July 5th, 2007 @ 12:52pm] |
Fat NINJA runs around and eats donuts all day. Beware when crumbs land on your head. He hangs from ceilings and waits to pounce and take away your snacks. And don't run too fast; he can't catch up Work in progress of a mermaid. The top flips up and down

| Freaked out olive |
[Wednesday, June 20th, 2007 @ 10:59am] |

Ahaha, in one of the swaps i joined, the category was to list 5 words and your partner would have to find items relating to that. My partner wrote out "olive" and maybe she meant olive color, but I like this spazzed out Olive. Originally, I was going to stick a toothpick into him, but that might not be too safe.
XD I find him adoribly cute **poke**
